Hello, I’m Jonathan, and I am a junior at Sage Hill School and the Founder of the Southern California VeteranCare MedLink Network. As the Founder and President of the Veterans Hospital, Sage Hearts for Heroes Club and the initiator of Sage Hill’s Student-Led Service Learning Project in partnership with the Tibor Rubin VA Medical Center, I work to create meaningful opportunities for students to provide direct hospital support to the veteran community in hospital departments. As a volunteer in the GI Lab at the Tibor Rubin VA Medical Center, I assist with patient care, clinical preparation, and specimen transport, gaining firsthand insight into the responsibility and precision required in medicine. Beyond healthcare service, I have been a three-year varsity hockey player for Fairmont Prep Academy, a Founder of Sage Hill’s Roller Hockey Club, an MTAC State Convention Panel Finalist for piano, and a Voices of Democracy award recipient recognized as an Outstanding Spokesperson for Freedom by the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Through leadership, athletics, music, and service, I strive to cultivate discipline, empathy, and integrity, qualities I believe are essential for those who aspire to serve in the medical profession.
